Climate control - FAQs
Here are some answers to many of the questions you may have about AirCare. If you’d like to find out more, please call us on 0845 200 3333 or click here to complete a contact form.
Isn’t climate control an expensive luxury? Thanks to new technological developments, climate-control systems are now more affordable and easier to install. Not only are they inexpensive to run but they also offer cost-effective heating as well as cooling. Andresearch shows that a comfortable working environment means happy and productive staff. As a result, productivity is also increased.
Aren’t our summers in the too short to need cooling systems? Even when the temperatures outside are low, buildings often need cooling. This is because equipment like PCs, printers and photocopiers generate unwanted heat. Plus, advances in technology mean our climate-control systems can be effectively ‘run in reverse’ to provide cost-effective heating as well as cooling to optimise comfort all year round.
How energy efficient is a Portakabin AirCare system?
Technology has been developed to allow for a highlyenergy-efficient system that recovers waste heat from cooling operations to use for heating, and vice versa. As a result, it is now possible to provide cooling and heating simultaneously, in different parts of the same building.
Aren’t climate-control systems bulky and noisy? Not any more. We use modern, high-quality systems that are known for their quiet operation and smart, unobtrusive appearance.
What about the environment? Our systems feature an ozone-friendly refrigerant, which functions effectively without loss of performance, while helping to protect the environment. They are highly energy efficient and our climate-control systems use substantially less electricity than a conventional convection heater.
What about fresh air? To provide fresh air and to filter dust or dirt particles, it is possible to install ventilation as part of, or separate to, your climate-control system.
